Royal Enfield Cuts 350cc Bike Prices by Up to ₹22,000 After GST Rate Drop

Royal Enfield has slashed the prices of its 350cc motorcycle lineup following the GST Council’s decision to reduce tax from 28% to 18% on two-wheelers up to 350cc. Starting September 22, 2025, models like the Classic 350, Hunter 350, Bullet 350, Meteor 350, and Goan Classic 350 will see price cuts of up to ₹22,000. The company has passed the full benefit of this tax reduction to customers.

Some of the biggest reductions apply to the Hunter 350, Classic 350, and Meteor 350. For instance, the Hunter 350’s base variant will now start at about ₹1.35 lakh, down from ₹1.50 lakh. Similarly, the Classic 350’s entry-level version drops to approximately ₹1.77 lakh from ₹1.97 lakh. Top-end variants across the 350cc range also see substantial markdowns.

Royal Enfield says this move aims to make its mid-size motorcycles more accessible to first-time buyers who earlier found the brand’s pricing out of reach. The 350cc range contributes significantly to Royal Enfield’s sales volumes in India, and the price adjustment is expected to boost enquiries and conversions.

Industry analysts also see this as a strategic move by the company to strengthen its foothold in a growing mid-size motorcycle segment. With rivals also targeting similar price bands, the new price structure may give Royal Enfield an edge. As India’s two-wheeler market evolves with cost pressures, changes in taxation like this one are likely to reshape buyer behaviour and brand positioning.
