OnePlus has initiated the rollout of OxygenOS 15.0.0.850 for the OnePlus 13 in India, introducing new features and usability enhancements. The update, tagged with firmware version CPH2649_15.0.0.850(EX01), is arriving in stages, reaching a limited number of users initially before a wider distribution in the coming days.
A standout addition in this release is BeaconLink, a communication tool that enables sending text, voice, and image messages to nearby OnePlus devices without requiring an internet connection. Found under Settings → Mobile network → BeaconLink, the feature leverages direct device connectivity for offline communication.
The update also refines the multitasking experience. Floating window animations for opening, resizing, and repositioning are now smoother, while Split View gains flexibility with adjustable ratios in landscape mode. The Private Safe has been expanded with new options, including the ability to share stored media, customise album covers, sort by time, and store files in a newly added “Other files” category.
Notifications in landscape mode have been redesigned into streamlined banners. Users can swipe down on these banners to open the related app in a floating window, reducing the need for full-screen interruptions.
The Recent Tasks interface now allows swiping down on stacked apps to change their lock status quickly, adding convenience to managing frequently used applications.
On the security front, the update integrates the August 2025 Android security patch, keeping the device protected from the latest vulnerabilities.
As this is an incremental rollout, OnePlus advises patience for those who haven’t received the OTA notification yet, assuring that more devices in India will get the update in the coming days.
