Google to Invest $6 Billion in Asia’s Largest Data Centre in India

Google is planning a massive $6 billion investment in India to build what’s being described as Asia’s largest data centre hub. The facility will be located in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, and represents Google’s first hyperscale campus in India. Of the total investment, about $2 billion will go toward developing renewable energy infrastructure to support the facility’s operations sustainably.

This strategic move underlines India’s growing role in the global digital economy and the increasing demand for cloud infrastructure in the region.
