Amazon-backed Skild AI launches Skild Brain, a general-purpose AI model for a wide array of robots

Skild AI—supported by Amazon, SoftBank, and others—has introduced Skild Brain, a robotics AI capable of powering both industrial machines and humanoid robots. It enables complex behaviors like stair climbing, interacting in cluttered environments, and adapting when pushed. Trained through simulated scenarios and real-world data, the model supports shared learning across robotic fleets and incorporates built-in safety measures to limit physical force. The company has partnerships with LG CNS and operates at a $1.5 billion valuation, having raised $300 million in Series A funding.
